She was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards.Judd was born Ashley Tyler Ciminella in Granada Hills, California, the daughter of Naomi Judd, a well known singer and country music motivational speaker, and Michael Ciminella, Jr., a marketing analyst for the horseracing industry. Judd's father is of Italian origin. Judd has a half-sister, Wynonna Judd, who is also a country music singer. At the time of her birth, her mother worked as a nurse, and not too well known as a singer together with her daughter Wynonna until the early 1980s. Judd parents divorced in 1972, and in 1974, her mother brought her back to her own Kentucky, where Judd grew.
